The textbook definition of physical therapy is: "the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery." We at Spectrum Physical Therapy strive to offer our patients practical, beneficial, and personalized solutions to the health issues they are experiencing, while also doing our best to minimize the need for invasive surgery or medications whenever possible.
Physical therapy is useful for individuals that have suffered injury from sports, automobile accidents, or recreational activities. It is beneficial to those that are about to have, or have already had, orthopedic surgical procedures, and individuals that are looking to manage chronic pain due to arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other issues. It is also helpful for those suffering from minor spinal injuries and back pain caused by incorrect lifting, poor posture, or repetitive motion.
A prescription from a physician is needed in order to begin physical therapy. Once we have obtained this prescription from your doctor, you may then schedule your first appointment. During your first appointment at Spectrum Physical Therapy, you will be evaluated by one of our talented and friendly physical therapists who will then suggest an individualized treatment plan developed specifically for you. Throughout the course of your treatment, goals will be set in order to track your progress and improvement in order to ensure that this plan is allowing you to achieve your health and wellness objectives.
Many of our physical therapy techniques and services are covered by most insurance companies. Please contact us for more details about how we can work with your insurance plan so that you receive the best care for the lowest personal cost to you. We also offer the option of a flat rate per appointment for those individuals who choose not to use health insurance.
